Neil Faulkner was a
convincing winner of the Greencastle 5k leg of the
Feet Across the Foyle 10k on Saturday last. |

Faulkner’s winning time
of 17.08 was highly creditable as runners battled
against driving rain and strong wins for the
duration of the event. Running in the colours of
Letterkenny Athletics Club, his winning time
combined with that of Colin Loughery, who was a
narrow winner of the |
Magilligan 5k in 18.10,
gave the top finishers a cumulative time of 35.18.
Another Letterkenny runner, Gavin Crawford, was a
gallant second in Greencastle in 17.35. This effort
combined with Johnny Goldie’s second place finish in
Magilligan in 18.10 resulted in a cumulative time of
35.45.
