Celtic folklorist bound for
Inishowen

A CHILDREN'S
storyteller and folklorist will be in Inishowen
later this month for a unique workshop for families.
Ruth Marshall who is also a mother and Steiner
teacher has been invited by Inishowen Kindergarten
for their 'Creating a Happy Childhood' series of
family-centred events. |
"Ruth has had many
experiences in the verbal arts including puppetry
and storytelling," said a spokesperson.
"She has written the children’s activity book
'Celebrating Irish Festivals', a rich treasury of
stories, beautiful illustrations, poems, traditions,
food, activities, games, dances and songs."
Having celebrated the Celtic festivals for 30 years,
the author also facilitates workshops in personal
development, creativity and healing for community
groups.
She herself explained: “I remain passionate about
the healing potential of poetry and |

and story and the power
of the spoken word to effect change in our lives and
in the world.”
The Creating a Happy Childhood - Storytelling with
the Young Child workshop will take place on
Saturday, November 17, from 10am to 1pm at Greenbank
