Crash victim just retired to
Inishowen

A woman who retired to
her native Inishowen this summer died tragically in
a two-car crash yesterday near Gleneely. |

The woman was 66 and is understood to
have moved back to Drumaweir, Greencastle, from
England where she had lived for some years.
Gardai are investigating the fatality which happened
at 2.45pm at Claggan on the main |
Moville to Carndonagh
road.
The victim was a passenger in one of the cars
involved in the accident. The drivers of the
vehicles, both men, were rushed to Letterkenny
General Hospital for treatment. It is understood
their conditions remain serious.
Gardai cordoned off a large stretch of the main road
and detours were put in place. Forensic officers
were at the scene until nightfall. The road is not
expected to reopen until later this morning. |
