Donegal alive with 'Sound of
Music'
24.10.07
THE Northwest Wellness
Centre will host an international 'Sound of Music'
extravaganza as its next fundraising drive.
The committee which hopes to build a cancer clinic
in Donegal, is bringing the popular Austrian musical
to the county for music lovers and fans of the
popular film. |
"The show of the same
name is one of the biggest tourist attractions in
Salzburg and begins with a film interview with the
real Frau von Trapp recounting her family's true
story," explained a centre spokesperson.
"The group of three female and two male singers and
dancers will present many classics such as 'The
Hills are Alive', |
|
'Do-Re-Me' and
'Edelweiss'.
The show will be staged in Harvey’s Point Hotel on
Wednesday, November 28 and in the Mount Errigal
Hotel, Letterkenny, the following night.
The evening will include a buffet meal with a mix of
traditional Irish and Austrian flavours. Tickets for
the show, dinner and mulled wine on arrival cost €60
and are available from both hotels. |
