Inishowen League launches new
website
05.11.07
THIS week sees the
launch of the Inishowen Football League's new
website.
It will be a poignant event for the organisation,
which recently suffered the sudden and untimely
death of its esteemed chairperson, Charlie
O'Donnell.
In existence for over 35 years, Inishowen Football
League boasts a total of 18 clubs from Malin Head to
Killea. It's hoped the new site will help them all
keep up-to-date with club news, results and events.
League PRO Terence Hegarty said the organisation
wanted a website for some time. |
"The site went on-line
in the last few weeks and we've been getting plenty
of feedback on it," he said.
"We've included links to the Finn Harps and Derry
City websites and we have plans in the future to get
the schoolchildren of Inishowen involved."
These are busy times for the League and committee
which are in the process of a three-phased
development at their Maginn |
|
Park HQ. Phase One has
seen the development of three all weather
facilities, two of which will be five-a-side with
the third a larger eight-a-side facility.
It is also in the process of Phase Two including a
115-yard by 80-yard sand-based pitch to be fully
floodlit and with grant aid, completed this year.
The website will be launchd at the Inishowen Gateway
Hotel on Wednesday, November 7, at 8.30pm and
everyone is invited attend. The site can be found at
www.inishowenfl.com . |
