Muff landowner praised at
sod-cutting ceremony

A Muff landowner was
praised yesterday for providing a greenfield site in
the border village for a much-needed voluntary
housing project.
Jack Dinsmore was lauded for his "invaluable
contribution" to the people of his community, at the
sod-cutting ceremony for the €4.5m Muff Voluntary
Housing Project.
Senator Cecilia Keaveney attended the ceremony and
described the project as a “great achievement". |

“I was delighted to be
in attendance at the sod cutting for the Voluntary
Housing Project in Muff as I feel that this is a
great achievement for the people of the Muff area.
"The recent Government funding of € 4,529,834
allocated to the project recognises and values the
contribution of all involved and I commend all their
hard work," said Senator Keaveney.
A number of successful voluntary housing projects
are currently operating throughout the Inishowen
peninsula in areas such |
as Moville, Clonmany,
Malin and Carndonagh.
Senator Keaveney said she was sure Muff would also
prove highly successful. She singled Mr. Dinsmore
out for special praise.
"Jack Dinsmore has made an invaluable contribution
to the people of his community in the provision of
this field for such an invaluable project. "The new
development in Muff will hopefully encourage further
progress in the area of voluntary housing in Donegal
and I wish the group all the best for the future.
"We are all looking forward to the day the key is
turned on this wonderful building," added Senator
Keaveney. |
