Muff residents angry at water shortages 23.04.07

Residents in some areas of Muff have been left without water several times in recent days with another shortage reported on Saturday.
The problem has been raised with Donegal County Council and the Environment Minister, Dick Roche, by Deputy Cecilia Keaveney, who says there's little excuse for water shortages in Inishowen given the level of funding currently available.
"Residents from the Muff area have contacted me to outline their frustrations at the intermittent break in water supply to their houses due to water shortages," said Deputy Keaveney.
"I have raised their concerns with both Donegal County Council and Minister Roche and I will be discussing it with him further when the Dáil resumes this week."
Deputy Keaveney said she wanted to see a speedy resolution to the problem.
"There has never been as much funding available to address infrastructure needs, so I can understand the residents' frustration at the intermittent lack of supply to their homes.
"I want to see local infrastructure projects delivered quickly and effectively in Inishowen. People need basic facilities and we have a duty to ensure that they are provided," she added.
