Inishowen

POP starlet Nadine
Coyle has revealed that her family have upped sticks
and left Inishowen to be with her in Los Angeles.
The stunning Girls Aloud singer said she had finally
persuaded her family to emigrate from the family
home in Burnfoot for the bright lights of LA. |
And her parents now
plan to open a "chain of Irish-themed bars" in the
City of Angels, the 22-year old said. Big-hearted
Nadine also revealed she bought a luxury home in
Derry for her sister who had previously lived in a
less desirable part of the city. The clued-in pop
star also said she had invested some of her showbiz
earnings buying homes in London and LA.
The Derry-born singer made her comments in an
interview with RTE's Miriam O'Callaghan on Saturday
night when she also revealed she was now happy to be
living the single life.
"I love being single," she said, explaining that |

prior to her one-year
romance with 'Desperate Housewives' star, Jesse
Metcalfe, she had dated a footballer from Derry for
five years.
She confirmed her romance with Metcalfe was
completely over and poured cold water on media
rumours that his infidelity caused the split. She
said snaps of him in a romantic clinch with another
young woman, happened "about three weeks" after the
break-up. Jesse was still a "beautiful man" in her
eyes and photographs of him didn't do him justice,
she added.
Pressed to reveal whether she would embark on a solo
career soon, the former Thornhill College student
admitted she was "useless at school, at things like
Maths and Science" and that "singing is all I can
do".
She said she had a full schedule of Girls Aloud
commitments including a new album coming up but
didn't rule out going solo in the future.
Meanwhile, she said her family's move Stateside from
Burnfoot had turned up a surprise employment
opportunity for her sister's partner.
"Everyone moving to LA wants to be an actor or a
singer, but they can't get people with trades like
plumbers." She said her sister's partner, a
tradesman, had been inundated with work since he
left the North West. |
