Summer Gathering in the future

ORGANISERS of the third
Inishowen Summer Gathering have issued a
questionnaire to gauge the feasibility of holding a
fourth festival in 2008.
The organising committee said they were "very happy"
with the turn-out at last weekend's event at Inch
Island and now want to see if there is enough
interest from the community to continue with their
unique family and eco-friendly event. |

The Inishowen Summer
Gathering mission statement is: to celebrate
Inishowen's environment, heritage and community;
encourage environmental awareness and activity in
Inishowen; provide fun and educational family-based
events with an emphasis on non-competitiveness,
responsible actions, using natural and recycled
materials, creativity and |
striking a balance
between past, present and future.
The Gathering also aims to engage people in hands-on
experiences of natural and healthy practices, arts
and crafts and to bring Inishowen closer to being an
eco-friendly destination for visitors. If you would
