MOVILLE Celtic junior
soccer club are gearing up for their Sports and Fun
day this Sunday, August 19th, in the Bay Field.
As well as the more usual events such as races,
tug-of-war, football skills including perfect
pass/shot, penalty shooting and five-a-side, there
will also be a few more “wacky” activities to enjoy.
These include a nappy hanging competition, pole
fighting, wellie throwing, palm reading and
horseshoe throwing. Don't forget the ever-popular
Bonny Baby, face painting and fancy dress.
The main aim of the event is to raise money for the
local junior soccer club which trains more than 40
local children every week at a cost of just €2 per
child.
Local parents attest to the commitment of the
volunteers and how much their children have
benefited and learned from their participation.
Come along to the Bay Field on Sunday for some good
family fun, healthy air and to find out more about
the deserving work of the junior soccer club. The
events kick off at 2pm. |
