TRADITIONAL song and
music lovers should not miss and exciting new series
to be aired later this month on Inishowen Community

It was researched,
produced, scripted and presented by Jimmy McBride of
the Inishowen Singers' Circle with technical
assistance from staff at ICRfm.
"In times past, they were the bearers and
conservationists of an ancient tradition," said an
ICRfm spokesperson.
"They brought this tradition to the settled
community and helped in no small way to pass this
tradition alive."

Community’ – an introduction to |
the past way of life of
the travellers. Contributors include such renowned

the Department of Folklore at UCD, Dublin at the
same Seminar in Inishowen. Other programmes in this
indepth new series examine both the Northern Irish
and Scottish traditions while programmes 9 and 10
